Project objective:

 The general aim of the project is to gather a team of actors of education from various European countries that can contribute to fostering inclusion in European schools mainly by improving teachers’ skills to integrate more inclusive didactics programs in their schools and broader communities. Under this premise, there are two approaches that literature review shows as effective for fostering inclusion at schools: Service-Learning (S-L) and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). These two approaches are meant to contribute to key competence learning of all pupils. In addition, Information Communication Technologies (ICT) have shown their capacity to boost educational proposals in order to be more inclusive, foster participation and gain accessibility for all learners.

As specific objectives, we look for the following:

• To explore synergies between a competence learning model through service-learning methodology (S-L) that integrates UDL.

• To design, develop and share didactics programs based on S-L methodologies to enrich teachers and school's capacity to integrate inclusive practices.

• To make a good practice guide for inclusion collecting the results of the schools and teachers' programs.

• To collect high value ICT tools for inclusion to create a toolbox for teachers and schools to boost inclusion.

• To create a user-friendly and easy-to-use app that facilitates to teachers the designing of inclusive didactical proposals (S-L projects, but not only...) including UDL principles, checkpoints and activities.

• To disseminate the results of the project to expand European schools' engagement to inclusion in education.

Aim of The Project  ‘A Journey to Our Own Culture’(A Service –Learning Project)

Our basic objective in this  project is to improve the knowledge and sensitivity of the community  with the service. We witnessed that the people of our region, who generally have an agriculture-based economy, do not recognize our cultural values.The neighbourhood of our school is a farming village.The parents of our students generally grow strawberry or bananas.They can’t find a chance to visit the cultural and historical areas in Anamur.As a result,our students can’t visit such places and get necessary information.They can’t learn the values from their parents, elder parents or neighbours. This shows us that we have social shortcomings, from our little ones to our elders.

So during this project ,our students will explain the importance of our cultural heritage to the younger students,elder people, their parents,and  our own community through presentations,meetings  and finally with their blog page and social media.So that,younger students and elder people will have the chance to learn more about the cultural heritages of our town,Anamur.

  We aim to provide students with increased learning in a community work.At the end of this  project,our students will be able to participate in community service learning experience,understand the importance of collaborating together and the  personal effort at the same time. This work will also improve the sensitivity of cultural heritages of our town Anamur.

‘KENDİ KÜLTÜRÜMÜZE YOLCULUK’ Projemizin Amacı(Bir Hizmet –Öğrenme Projesi)

Bu projedeki temel amacımız hizmet ile toplumun bilgi ve duyarlılığını geliştirmektir. Genelde tarıma dayalı bir ekonomiye sahip olan bölgemizin insanlarının kültürel değerlerimizi tanımadığına şahit olduk. Okulumuzun bulunduğu mahalle çiftçi köyüdür. Öğrencilerimizin velileri genellikle çilek veya muz yetiştirirler. Anamur'daki kültürel ve tarihi yerleri gezme fırsatı bulamıyorlar. Dolayısıyla öğrencilerimiz de bu değerli mekanları gezemiyorlar ve bu bölgeler ile ilgili yeterince bilgi sahibi olamıyorlar. Değerlerini anne babalarından, büyük anne babalarından, komşularından öğrenemiyorlar. Bu bize küçüğümüzden büyüğümüze kadar sosyal eksikliklerimizin olduğunu gösteriyor.

Böylece bu proje sırasında öğrencilerimiz sunumlar, toplantılar ve son olarak blog sayfaları ve sosyal medya aracılığıyla genç öğrencilere, yaşlılara, ebeveynlerine ve kendi toplumumuza kültürel mirasımızın önemini anlatacaklar.Böylelikle daha genç öğrencilerimiz ve yaşlılarımız, Anamur ilçemizin kültürel mirasları hakkında daha fazla bilgi edinme şansına sahip olacaklar.

Bu projenin sonunda öğrencilerimiz toplum hizmeti öğrenme deneyimine katılabilecek, birlikte işbirliği yapmanın ve aynı zamanda kişisel çabanın önemini anlayabileceklerdir. Bir toplum çalışması yoluyla  öğrenciler daha fazla öğrenme sağlamış olacaklar. Bu çalışma aynı zamanda  Anamur ilçemizin kültürel miraslarına olan duyarlılığını artıracaktır.

Öğrencilerimiz zihinsel/bedensel engelli öğrencilerin (engelli öğrencilerin) sınıflarını ziyaret ederek, öğretmenlerinin yardımıyla bu öğrencilerle fotoğraf, video ve bilgileri paylaştılar.

Our students  visited  mentally/ physically handicapped students' classes(students with disability) , and with the help of their teachers they  shared the photos,videos and the information with those students .

Daha önce Mamure Kalesi’ni hiç ziyaret etmemiş olan öğrencilerimiz ve velilerimiz ile birlikte kaleyi ziyaret ettik.Görevlilerden kalenin mimari yapısı,tarihi önemi,restorasyon çalışmaları ve Anamur için önemi gibi konularda bilgi aldık.Çok sayıda fotoğraf ve video çektik.Böylesi ihtişamlı bir kalenin içinde bulunmak öğrenciler ve veliler için çok heyecan vericiydi.

 

We visited the castle with our students and parents who have never visited Mamure Castle before. We received information from the officials about the architectural structure of the castle, its historical importance, restoration works and its importance for Anamur. We took many photos and videos. Being inside such a magnificent castle was very exciting for the students and  the parents.

Öğrencilerimiz ve velilerimiz ile Anemurium Antik Kent’i ziyaret ettik.O sırada yapılan kazı çalışmalarına şahitlik ettik ve bir arkeolog arkadaş eşliğinde antik kenti gezdik,arazinin tarihsel ve kültürel önemi,jeopolitik özellikleri ve yeni yapılan restorasyon çalışmalarına ait bilgiler edindik,fotoğraflar ve videolar çektik.

We visited the Anemurium Ancient City with our students and parents. We witnessed the excavations at that time and visited the ancient city in the company of an archaeologist friend, we learned about the historical and cultural importance of the land, its geopolitical characteristics and the new restoration works, and took photos and videos.

Öğrencilerimiz ile birlikte Kızılaliler Kültür ve Dayanışma Derneği’ni ziyaret ederek orada köyün büyükleriyle buluştuk. Onlardan geleneklerimiz ve göreneklerimizi, yöremize dair hikayeleri ve türkülerimizi dinledik. Büyüklerimiz öğrencilerimize Anamur’da gezdikleri gördükleri kültürel değerler, yerel tarih ve kültür ile ilgili bildiklerini aktararak projemize katkılarını sundular. Öğrencilerimiz de onlara şimdiye kadar edindikleri bilgileri aktarma şansı buldular. Büyüklerimizin daha önce hiç görmedikleri yerlere dair fotoğraf ve videoları onlarla paylaştılar. Yeni yapılan kazılar, çıkarılan mozaikler ve çok eski yıllarda yapılarla ilgili açıklanamayan ama şimdi arkeologların ortaya koyduğu bilgileri aktardılar.

Sonuç olarak, büyüklerimiz yeni neslin kültürel değerlere sahip çıkmasına ve onların yalnızlıklarını paylaşmalarına çok mutlu oldular. Öğrencilerimiz ise  hem  bu bilgi alışverişinden hem de büyüklerle geçirilen değerli vakitten kaynaklı daha mutlu bir şekilde ayrıldılar. 

 

We visited the Kızılaliler Culture and Solidarity Association with our students and met with the elders of the village there.

We listened to our traditions and customs, stories and folk songs about our region from them. Our elders contributed to our project by conveying to our students what they know about the cultural values, local history and  the cultural places that they visited in Anamur. Our students also had the chance to share their knowledge with them. They shared photos and videos of places our elders had never seen before.They conveyed information about new excavations, unearthed mosaics and structures in ancient times that could not be explained but now revealed by archaeologists.

As a result, our elders were very happy that the new generation took care of cultural values and shared their loneliness. Our students, on the other hand, left more happily due to both this exchange of information and the valuable time spent with elders.
